NatureWalk Wooden Bridge

When built in 2006, the NatureWalk at Seagrove entrance bridge was the longest pile-supported wooden bridge in the United States. Using “green construction methods,” Bridge Builders USA, Inc. built the bridge across 780 feet of wetlands.  It was built to support cars, pickup trucks, construction equipment, large fire trucks, and even concrete trucks.

We love that bridge and the other wooden bridges and walkways throughout NatureWalk.  They add charm, character, and uniqueness to the community.  They are demonstrations of NatureWalk’s commitment to its name and to our respect for the state forest and wetlands from which our neighborhood was carved.

“ Using green construction, Bridge Builders ™ completed the longest pile-supported, HS-25 vehicular timber bridge in the country at the Nature Walk project in Seagrove, a master-planned community, in Santa Rose Beach in Florida. The NatureWalk Bridge crosses 780 feet of wetlands and is fully capable of supporting all normal highway traffic, including construction equipment, large fire trucks, loaded concrete trucks, and service equipment. “

Our NatureWalk bridge was recently featured as part of Florida’s Most Beautiful Bridges – The Bridges of 30A.
